Committee Proposes Ethics Code Changes

INBA's Ethics Code Revision Committee, headed by Amanda Vinicky, has updated the document. The Board will take a look at it this Spring, as will general membership. Please take a look (click on the headline for the full story), and let us know what you think!!

Interesting admission (sort of)

From the Radio Havana, Cuba web site, a sort of admission that the Cuban government restricts press freedoms. This is revealed in a story about the U.S. government trying to work around the restrictions on the Internet and thereby destabilize the Cuban government. Bloggers and citizen-journalists would be trained to operate "illegally".


Havana, March 28th (ACN-RHC) The U.S. government is planning to spend an extra $30 million on projects aimed at using the internet to destabilize the Cuban government.

Angotti to Keynote Spring 2011 Convention

Emmy Award-winning news veteran Joseph Angotti will be INBA's keynote speaker at the Spring 2011 Awards Banquet on April 16.  He is the former senior vice president of NBC News and former executive producer of NBC Nightly News.  Mr. Angotti was also NBC’s Vice President and Executive Producer of Election Programs anchored by Tom Brokaw during the 1980’s.  In that capacity he was in charge of all NBC programming of the primary elections, the political conventions, presidential debates, election night coverage, and the inauguration.

Judge Rules on Blagojevich Jury Names, Questionnaires
