Milner Named INBAs First Honorary Member

The journalists and educators of the Illinois News Broadcasters Association named Lee Milner as the organization’s first Honorary Member on April 16th. Milner, a longtime associate member of INBA, received the surprise honor at the organization’s annual awards dinner on Saturday night.

“He is genuinely one of the kindest people you’re ever likely to meet at one of our gatherings,” INBA President Jennifer Fuller told the audience, reading from a resolution approved earlier in the day by the General Membership. On behalf of the organization, she thanked Milner for his years of service and fellowship, and she presented him with a plaque to commemorate the event.

Rachel Morris, like fellow winner Lauren DiSandro, runs for fun. She recently ran her first half-marathon. When it comes to broadcasting, she likes sports reporting best, especially covering the Illini for WEIU. "I love covering Illini basketball and football. The atmosphere is phenomenal, and getting one-on-one time with the coaches and players is thrilling!"
